NanoFrontier, a Tohoku University-born Startup, to Exhibit at “SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026”
NanoFrontier Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Sendai, Miyagi; hereinafter “the Company”) will exhibit at “SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026,” to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Monday, April 27 to Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
SusHi Tech is Asia’s largest global innovation conference, bringing together innovators from around the world with the mission of realizing sustainable cities through high technology.
Exhibition Overview
Building on more than 30 years of proprietary nanoparticle technology accumulated at Tohoku University, the Company is engaged in the research, development, and social implementation of a wide range of functional nanomaterials. Our work targets critical societal challenges across the environmental, energy, and information infrastructure sectors — including rapid detection of PFAS water contamination, long-lasting battery materials free from rare-metal dependency, and high-thermal-conductivity nanofluids for energy-efficient data centers.

Furthermore, by leveraging AI, simulation, and robotics to automate and advance the R&D process, the Company offers solutions that streamline trial-and-error experimentation and significantly reduce development time and costs. By seamlessly connecting research outcomes through to mass production and implementation, we accelerate practical deployment through partnerships with corporations and local governments — and contribute to a sustainable society by bringing advanced materials that balance deployability and economic viability to markets both in Japan and abroad.

The Company’s Representative Director, Inoue, will also deliver a pitch presentation at the event. We warmly invite you to visit us at Tokyo Big Sight.

Exhibits and Presentations
Rapid Detection of PFAS Water Contamination
We will showcase a new solution leveraging organic nanoparticle technology to detect PFAS water contamination at low cost and in real time. As environmental regulations continue to tighten, we present a highly deployable approach that enables immediate on-site response.
Rare-Metal-Free Battery Materials
We will introduce the results of our development of next-generation battery materials that eliminate dependence on scarce resources while achieving high performance and long service life. Visitors can explore our material design approach, which simultaneously addresses resource security and the energy transition.
High-Thermal-Conductivity Nanofluids for Data Center Energy Efficiency
We will unveil thermal management and energy-saving technologies based on high-thermal-conductivity nanofluids, designed to address the surging power consumption of data centers. This is a practical material solution that contributes to the sustainability of information infrastructure.
Comment from the Representative Director
“SusHi Tech Tokyo is a conference where the world’s most cutting-edge challenges toward realizing sustainable cities converge. The functional nanomaterials we develop directly address the foundational issues of modern society — environmental remediation, energy efficiency, and infrastructure advancement. Through this exhibition, we look forward to expanding new partnerships that will allow us to jointly advance the social implementation of our research outcomes.”
